Job description

Our client, a precision-driven manufacturer operating in a regulated environment, is currently seeking an experienced Moulding Technician to join their growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with a strong background in injection moulding and a passion for quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

You will be part of a high-performing team operating state-of-the-art moulding and automation equipment to produce components that meet the highest industry standards. The successful candidate will bring both technical expertise and a commitment to safety, collaboration, and performance excellence.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Production Operations

  • Set up, operate, and monitor injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.

  • Perform in-process quality checks and adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, cycle times) to ensure consistent output.

  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance to reduce downtime.

  • Troubleshoot production and machine-related issues efficiently.

Quality & Compliance

  • Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, cosmetic appearance, and material performance.

  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for any product non-conformances.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal quality protocols.

Safety & Maintenance

  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized at all times.

  • Carry out preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues promptly.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with production supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance teams to meet daily output targets.

  • Communicate clearly on production status, challenges, and improvement opportunities.

  • Take part in continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and technical training.

Job requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating or maintaining injection moulding machinery.

  • Familiarity with moulding processes, materials, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Strong working knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.

  • Willingness and flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Technical certification in Plastics Engineering, Toolmaking, or Manufacturing Technology.

  • Experience with Engel, Arburg, Battenfeld, or Sumitomo Demag machinery.

  • Exposure to robotic systems, automation, and lean manufacturing environments.

  • Previous work experience in a medical device, plastics, or high-precision manufacturing setting.
